Summer is officially here!
Yes, I know it's July, but hey. Speaking of which, this July has been the most pleasant that I have had the pleasure of experiencing in a LONG LONG LONG LONG TIME..
So much has been going on since moving back that it's not even funny. From house and home to work and school, I have been all over the place just trying to get it together. The last 5 months or so have actually been a tad bit hard for me. Not making enough to make ends meet is never fun, but this time around it was exceptionally more difficult for some reason. All the money I saved before moving home is now gone. Capoot. I guess I can only complain so much, though. On the bright side, I at least had that money to keep my head above water until now!
I started doing burlesque and, well, that's going pretty well considering I took no classes or have had no formal training.
I've done 3 shows so far and I do love the stage. HOWEVER, now that I have gotten my foot in the door, I want to take my time in perfecting what I do. And you know what? I don't NEED a class to help me with that. These are skills, tricks, and tips that I can learn on my own. I'm a self starter and that's not going to change now. Just had my first paid show this past Wednesday (07/09/2014). Man! What a feeling!!!
What else? Well, I'm trying to pay off some student debt so that I can get my ass back in school in the fall and hopefully be done in another year or so. (Fingers Crossed). Also, got a promotion at work with Enterprise. To be honest, I really wasn't expecting that to happen, considering that I have been there less than a year. Am I mad about it? OF COURSE NOT!! I needs the money. And on top of ALL that, I now have a girlfriend, as of Sunday, July 6th. Know what's really coincidental about that? The 6th day of the month also marks our anniversary date of friendship and "Dandelioning" since back in December.
Funny how things work out, I would say. I have been bombarded by so many good and great things that it is sometimes hard to even keep up. All things considered, I couldn't be more happy than I am right now. Next line of business? Writing in this more often so I don't have to summarize the last 7 months of my life...
