Wow. I don't really care (i'm lying) where you are on the actual issue of what's going on in Arizona, but does anyone really think that just sending illegal immigrants back to their country is really going to solve the "problem". What i hate about these really conservative people that have SOOO much to say is the fact that the claims and reasoning they come up with for their decisions and view points are so asinine. For example, "They're taking all our jobs away from us!" Are you kidding me? There's no way you would do have of the jobs they take.
Ok. Screw it. Let's say we "send them back". Back to what? What about the majority of first generation and about a quarter of second generation illegal immigrants here? Do you THINK they have a home to go back to? And considering the drug cartels and all that jazz..... ugh. (shakes head) People really don't get it. I was listening to NPR this morning and heard a caller call in about the subject. He had a very southern accent and this is what he had to say. "I cannot beLIEVE we are allowing this all to happen right now. They're illegal! They need to get send back to where they belong!" "I know it's hard to be legal here. But that's for a good reason. Look at how amazing our country is!".
I don't know. Maybe it's just me. But I still find it heartless to think that the solution is that simple. And yes, we live in a GREAT country. But one, we're not the most developed and we're definitely not the most populated. We're one of the youngest nations in the world for the god sake. I think people forget that. We don't know everything yet. And we never will. There's never one right way.
