Ride It!!
Today is Tuesday, January 17th, 6:54 pm. This weekend was so nice. On saturday, Me J.J., Jake, Jeana, and Ashley went into town for quite some time. We took the bus there and headed to HuaHin21. Once on the street, we began bargaining with the renters of motor bikes and the such. Finally we got one group to give us motorbikes for 200 baht a day. Sweet. Suh-Weeet!!! After that, there was no turning back. We headed down to the Weekend Festival way out by school. No one could remember exactly how to get to school so i had to stay in front the whole time. Honestly, i was kinda scared myself, considering that i wasn't 100% sure how to get there myself. Ah well. about 1/2 after hitting the road we made it to the festival. There was a cow wrestling competition, tons of food, tons of venders. It was really nice.Unfortunately, my main objective for going was to get my fried, dried potatoes. And did they have them? Uh, no. Sh*t. Well, we still ate pretty well and afterwards chatted for a hot minute with the natives. Everyone is so nice here. There's a certain level of respect here that u don't really get back home. Go Thailand! Ne way, we started driving back toward Cha-am, while racing on the road. it was crazy! The craziest part about it was all the bugs. Everytime a bug hit any of us, it hurt so bad! But then again, we had to have been doing at least 90mph on the bikes. U think we were going fast? This is the minimum most people go on the roads! Well, that night we kinda chilled out, and kicked it all night. Next day.... First we went and ate breakfast on the beach at this quaint little restaurant just minutes away on the shore. After that we headed BACK into town. Unfortunately for our Thai ways class, we had a freakin' scavenger hunt we had to do. We needed to find a temple and count all the statues of Buddha. Mission completed? Yep. But first we headed WAY south of HuaHin until we made it to a beach. We roamed around for a while. Two policeman approached us on their horses and asked if we wanted to ride. At first i was hesitant, mainly because it has been MANY years since i last road a horse. Finally, i just said, "FUCK IT!" and hopped on. I stayed on that horse trotting for at least 20+ minutes for quite some time. It was so much fun! Just think about this... riding horses.....Not ONLY riding horses, but riding horses on the beach and in the water! After that, we headed to the temple and counted all the statues. Can't really remember how many there were so we made up a number. ah well. at least we DID some of the scavenger hunt. So there! Now i know just how hard i can work and party! Good times.... Good weekend.
